An SLA or Service Level Agreement is a contractual agreement between a service provider and an end-user guaranteeing performance levels of a contracted service and service restoration time in the event of an MSO (Major Service Outage). If the service provider fails to work within the requirements of the SLA then the end-user can claim compensation for loss of service or downtime beyond the SLA’s remit.
